| On Schedule for Academic
Year 2010-11 |
| Assessment Process for Grades I to IV
At BG Academy we follow the system of continuous evaluation
to observe overall development of the child. We shall share it with the parents on one to one meet with Academic Administrator. |
Weekly Assessment is for four
CBSE Curriculum Subjects
| Assessment Process for Grades V to IX |
At BG Academy, we practice continuous assessment methods.Child's performance and
interest during the activities is assessed. Child-mapping is part of school's internal assessment, which helps us understand child's personality to guide him further with short term achievable goals and personality.
Children will be given surprise tests after completion of the topic. They also may be assessed through various methods like quizzes, debates etc.
The comprehensive portion of academics, activities in the school, excursions, experiments & observation and workshops, also the vacation
assignments will be considered for the assessments. Sometimes teachers will give them the time to prepare for the assessment and revise for
the same in the class. Sometimes such conscious efforts are eliminated to judge child's grasping & retaining capacity. The children and parents
are expected to be alert and conscious of every small activity in the class to achieve better 'assessment grades'. The children opting for coaching
classes will probably loose out on the 'assessment grades' due to focus on revising for other activities being deviated. Children will be brushing
up their knowledge and skills during Self Study Hours.
The notes and other work of children also will be assessed throughout the year. |
The average of all these assessments and term examination will be the benchmark for promotion of the child. We will be following CCE of CBSE BOARD. |
