Dear Parents,
We are approaching 2020 and en route to making the best of our demographic situation. 2020 see’s a majority of Indians in their 20’s. In this perspective school education needs to be handled professionally and skillfully. The responsibility of every educational institute has increased in proportion to the challenges of the world today. Educationists and academicians must give conscious and meticulous attention to the overall grooming of each child, particularly in the formative years. The methods of teaching must keep every child’s interest rooted in academic growing.
Once the educational institution takes up the responsibility for the fundamental development of children, it also must imbibe in children the habit of thinking independently. This is the base of ‘invention’ & India needs to work to create such a mindset. India needs inventions to be ‘mega-power’ on its card. At BGA we have focused on developing scientific temper and cognitive skills to bring up the generation to face the challenge. We have designed our own curriculum of activities to aid basic CBSE curriculum. BGA curriculum includes introduction to Indian culture, art, multi-media. Various activities develop the language skills of the child.
The parents must form an alliance with the school to bring up the next generation. They must focus on introducing culture and religion in its true extent to their children and train them in minimal household chores. This is an important part of the developmental process also a method to build the rapport between generations, which seems missing in today’s latchkey world.
We, at BGA consider the needs of the educated and working parents of Pune. These parents are globetrotters exposing their child to the world from an early age.
Walchand Industries Charitable Trust has started BG Academy keeping in mind the constantly changing scenario of India in the world. BGA started eight years ago with a child orientated education programme to develop the scientific temper among young ones. Our professional team has developed the integrated education programme keeping neurological, psychological and physical development of child in mind.
BGA students have lot of space to spend a day. Our library, laboratory, cafeteria, AV room, sports ground, idea factory nurture children's need to explore and learn. They also connect to our cultural roots through celebration of festivals.
Neurologists, psychologists and educationists along with nutrition consultants and medical practitioners are gathered under one umbrella, BGA to brainstorm before developing and implementing a curriculum for our young children. Periodically, scientists from different streams advise our team. We have a separate team of consultants who visit the school regularly to guide children and teachers. The psychologist helps students harness their qualities thus enhancing their potential as also guides our teachers to facilitate this process during the school hours.
Today we are proud to say that we have created an ‘Asset’ for our country.
Success of BGA is that children who have taken the complete programme have developed as ‘Happy Learners’ and confident human beings.
It is time that we all take note of the changing face of education in India, which in turn is going to bring up a generation, that will make our country ‘a super power’ that we are all dreaming of.
