No news is good news they say but no man is an island and without news we become isolated. Communication is the key to better understanding - covering our thoughts, ideas and keeping updated. Our school has ventured to start a regular newsletter to keep you informed of all that is happening in and with the school. The last two months were full of activities :

• Three of our students(Ansh,Ayush,Aishwarya) from std VII appeared for the NSTSE exam (Maths & Science Olympiad. We are happy to inform that they have come up with flying colours. Ayush Soni has stood 229th rank in 2.8 lakh students appearing and has stood 3rd in Pune, thus putting a feather in the cap for BG. Ansh Pandey and Aishwarya Gandhi have backed him up by claiming within thousand rank. Three Cheers to the Trio!

• Atreya Mandnikar from std II stood sixth in the Brilliant Moves chess tournament. Congratulations Atreya!

• Vianca Damani & Akshati Shah from std IX participated in a seminar on Global Warming. They won the poster competition organized by Alert, an organisation run by our ex-mayor, Vandana Chavan. They have been greatly influenced by this seminar and are all geared up to start a Nature Club and help the society along with their friends.

• We at BGA believe in activity based learning. In keeping with our belief in hands-on-experience, our tiny tots from Prep I & Prep II visited the fire station, the church and the post office, where they posted letters to their parents.

• As you are aware that as a part of our all-round development of the child, we teach our children literature appreciation, art and craft, shloka recitation, swimming and horse-riding. On Friday, February 8th, children gave a demonstration of horse-riding in the presence of parents,of what they had learnt during the year. The Co-ordinators for the committees are: Mrs. Koyna Zaveri, Mr. R. Bharadwaj and Mr. M. Pandey.

• With a view to involve parents in the development of their child and the school, a parents association has been formed.

• A symposium was organised on the 15th & 16th February. We had a Maths and Science exhibition, an Archery workshop, Pottery workshop, Food Preservation, Under a Microscope, Scientific toys. This is the beginning. We shall be in touch with you every month.
